Little dings, dents and holes can suddenly appear on our perfectly painted walls. Despite our best efforts, artwork and pictures move to another room, doors get slammed, and little nicks appear after shoes are kicked off. Don’t despair, as most of these types of repairs can be made with a few tools and by following some simple steps.

In our latest video, our warranty technician, Barclay Ross, show you how to repair this type of damage. As Barclay demonstrates, small imperfections can easily be covered, and it’s an inexpensive DIY job that doesn’t require calling a professional painter.

Before you begin, the first step is to assemble the right tools for the job. You’ll need are a drop sheet, paint tray, paint roller with sleeve, drywall compound, sanding sponge, putty knives and paint in the same colour as your wall.

Once you have all of those items, then you’re ready to start the repair. Watch the video on this page to see how it’s done and learn some pro tips. By closely following these step-by-step instructions, your mark will soon be gone and you will never know the damage was ever there.
